Elizabeth is such a blessing. She continues to commit her time on Saturday evening to teach our Sunday School class. She also gives her time to spread the Gospel in the outlying areas, hospitals, and jails.
Right now she is in need of a small house. Elizabeth was living in town renting an apartment, but suffered a few break ins and her parents asked her to move home. She continues to work at the Beauty shop, but it will be quite awhile before she can afford a house.
We have windows and some of the lumber. Please pray that finances become available to purchase roofing, 1x4's for the roof support, texture 1-11, and more 2x4's. Also pray for her continued spiritual protection.
Vocational School Update
This past month more work has been accomplished in the building of the Vocational school all due to the generous provision by God.There is now outlets and lights in the first floor. They are powered with the same solar panels and batteries used by the church and bunk house. Bob's office is enclosed and workbenches have been partially built. The kids jokingly call it "La oficina de Beto sin techo" or "Beto's office without a roof". The outside walls and now most of the inside walls are covered with osb to protect the insulated cement forms. The outside will eventually be finished off with paint, siding....whatever God provides. The inside will be left osb to use for hanging tools and cabinets and workbenches will be built.Continue to pray for God's provision for this vision. We now have $225 towards the $1700 needed to put on the second floor lumber and cover it with a huge tarp. This next step would make it possible for Bob to finish off the first floor. You may donate through PayPal using a credit card or by check to our PO Box. If 150 people sent $10 that would cover the construction project. Please pray about this donation.

More concrete...
With the school walls being finished, we had some gravel and sand leftover. Instead of just moving these piles to another spot, we decided to move it only once and make it into more concrete. With bags of cement, these leftovers, and 4 teens, we worked on adding concrete for the church and movie night area.
This new concrete brings a dry area from the side of the bunkhouse all the way over to the church wall. Now when it rains, we have a very large area that will stay dry and give the people a chance to get out of the mud and off the ground.
Here are the photos...first the digging down into the dirt to make it level and to provide some rain run-off...next, here is what it looks like now...the walls in the background are our windbreakers from the cold northern wind!
Buy a DVD, Support SBH Ministry
Fred Dunn, former mission team member, created "Regarding Chickens" DVD for those of you that are interested in raising chickens.
He has graciously offered to donate to SBH Ministry 100% of the proceeds!
This DVD has received a 5 star rating on Amazon.com. Reading the customers' comments shows what an excellent DVD Fred has created.
Fred's directions for ordering are: When ordering, just send a note with the purchase that simply says SBH. www.Amazon.com is the cheapest purchase price and the buyer has an option to send a note to the seller with their purchase.. again "sbh" is all that needs to be added to that purchase.
CHECK IT OUT! Wouldn't this be a great gift for someone you know?? Don't forget to mention SBH Ministry when ordering.

Quick update: So far, people using GoodSearch in the ministry's name have earned over $5.00 in about a month. Every little bit helps! I have used this search engine and been pleased with the results!Along with writing grant proposals, we have been searching for ways to reach out to all the ministry's supporters through the internet. The button below is one way to do just that. When you use GoodSearch you earn money for God's work in Mexico...building the Vocational Training School, Christmas celebration, music outreach, movie night, baby ministry, school supplies...On GoodSearch you can also shop through GoodShop that has many, many national retailers, but a donation is given to Serve & Build Hope Ministry when you shop through their window. I hope I am explaining it right. Check it out...I think you may be happy...and it helps the ministry.
Do you have an unwanted flash drive?
Flash drives...always very handy to save data from your computer. We have a few technical high school kids who could really use a flash drive to their school work.
Small used flash drives are just fine. Have a 128mb or 512mb that is too small and you have upgraded to a larger one? The students would love to receive your older flash drive.
Just clear off your information and send it to us. We will make sure a student receives it and send you a photo of that smiling face!
Another way to help us raise funds!
Here is what is called a donation badge. You can click right through and donate to Serve & Build Hope. We have featured the Vocational Training School right now since we are praying for funding to pour concrete for the first floor walls.
This badge donation is also featured in the recent, 12/16/07, Sunday paper Parade magazine part. They are giving a challenge and offering $1,000 to $50,000 for those who have the most donors! Won't you help?? Check out their website www.Parade.com/givingchallenge
This will give you the opportunity to choose our badge and donate OR just click on the badge here and donate...it is all the same!
God bless you today and always.
This badge can be put onto your website or web page, myspace page, etc. Just click and discover!
If I did the "computer stuff" right, you can now access the Handbook by clicking the link above.
We have developed a handbook to help teams prepare spiritually and solidify as a team. The handbook also contains information concerning challenges that may be experienced in Mexico during the week. All necessary paperwork is found in the back of the handbook.
To receive a hard copy, you can contact us by phone, mail, or email. The handbook is free to a team who has booked a week with us in Mexico. The cost is $5.00 for postage and handling if you have not booked a mission week
Want to send a group?
What is the first step to sending a group for a short-term mission trip? PRAY! Listen to God's will on where He wants you to serve.
Interested in bringing a mission team? Have questions about what it really means to bring a team? Here are few keys points to keep in mind:
1. Most open dates are during June and July. We work to pay our bills and these months are the “vacation” months. 2. We house mission teams in Mexico and try to give some type of colonia living experience. We do not have air conditioning or refrigeration. 12-volt power and outhouses are used . 3. The cost per person is $525 which does not include your travel to Southern Texas. Once here, the fee covers travel from the airports, tolls, housing, food for the week, material for the projects, tools, some VBS materials, and pay for women to cook and do laundry for the group.
We offer a week of serving Christ in Mexico, as well as a time for spiritual growth. Devotions and reflections each night help in letting the Holy Spirit work in your life.

We offer the left and right navigation bar and some of the links. The message and links on the left bar are also from the website host.
